MRI of brain tumors is always performed with contrast administration. Contrast media (GdDTPA) is injected via vein vessel in order to enhance the tumor, not only its size and location but also degree of staging. Image is obtained after contrast administration by using T1 weighting technique (spin echo and fast spin echo sequence). The purpose of this research is to find out resulted image differences between two techniques. Hopefully, it will be useful for radiographers to produce high quality post contrast images.
Suspect of this research were 4 patients having MRI brain tumor examination then were set with 2 sequences (spin echo and fast spin echo). Result were analized by using questionaire observed by 8 radiologists. Data then was analized with Wilcoxon test and description of images were given.
There was statistically differences between spin echo and fast spin echo post contrast T1 weighting image. Result showed that there were differences in post contrast T1 weighting image quality between spin echo and fast spin echo sequence. Statistically, with Wilcoxon test the differences were significant with p value 0,011 ( p < 0,05).
